Front End Loader Safety Tips:
• Never work under or walk under a raised loader.
• Always raise and lower the loader arms slowly.
• Be aware of extra length of the machine when turning.
• Use caution when handling loose loads.
• Never move a load or swing a load if people are nearby.
• Avoid outer edges if working along high banks or slopes.
• Be aware of overhead wires and obstacles when you raise the loader.
• Always travel with the load low to the ground and be aware of any obstructions on the ground.
• Only operate the loader from the operator’s seat.
• Never lift or carry anyone on the loader or bucket.
• The loader must always be lowered when parking or for servicing.
• Always park the loader on a firm, level surface with all safety devices engaged.
• Visually check for hydraulic leaks, broken, missing or malfunctioning parts.
• When under pressure, escaping hydraulic oil has sufficient force to penetrate your skin causing serious personal injury. Injuries resulting from oil penetrating the skin are very difficult to treat. Always use a piece of cardboard to check for pinhole leaks.
• Before you disconnect any hydraulic lines always relieve all hydraulic pressure.
• Be certain anyone operating the loader has been professional trained to do so.
• All loaders must have roll-over protective structures like an enclosed cab or roll bar with canopy.
• Loader operators must wear their seat belt at all times.
