ELECTRICAL SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE
The Electrical Safety Awareness Training course from Safety First Training is designed to educate workers on the hazards associated with electricity in the workplace and to promote safe work practices around electrical systems and equipment. This training focuses on hazard recognition, injury prevention, and compliance with Ontario health and safety requirements. Training is delivered onsite throughout Southern Ontario and can be customized to suit office, industrial, construction, and institutional environments.
Electrical Safety Awareness in the Workplace
Electrical hazards are present in nearly every workplace, from offices and warehouses to construction sites and manufacturing facilities. Contact with electricity can result in serious injuries, burns, shocks, arc flash incidents, fires, or fatalities. This course provides workers with a practical understanding of electrical hazards and teaches them how to work safely around energized equipment without performing electrical work themselves.
This course is awareness-based and does not authorize participants to perform electrical work. It is intended to help workers recognize hazards and understand when to stop work and involve qualified personnel.

Duration
Electrical Safety Awareness training typically ranges from 2 to 3 hours, depending on workplace hazards, industry, and level of discussion required. Training can be delivered as a standalone session or combined with other safety awareness programs.
Assessment and Certification
Participants may be evaluated through informal knowledge checks or written assessments, as appropriate. Upon successful completion, participants receive an Electrical Safety Awareness Training Certificate for their records.
