What is an Annual Inspection for Fall Arrest Equipment?
An Annual Fall Arrest Equipment Inspection is a mandatory evaluation of personal protective equipment (PPE) designed to prevent falls. It includes:

✅ Ontario Regulation 851 (Industrial Establishments) – PPE, including fall protection, must be inspected regularly and before use.
✅ CSA Z259 Standards – Full-body harnesses, lanyards, and self-retracting lifelines must be inspected by a Competent Person every 12 months.
✅ Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) – Employers have a legal duty to ensure worker safety and provide properly maintained fall protection systems.
